Why The Matrix
Definition of Matrix

"Neo.... wake up"
Thomas Anderson, Neo being his online/hacker name, raises his head from his desk and looks into the blank screen... "Who is this?"
"Neo, it's here"
"What!! What is here??"
"The Matrix Neo, it has you...."
"Who is this!!" Neo getting nervous
"Follow the white rabbit."
"What???"
"They're here Neo."

This page is dedicated to my favorite movie, "The Matrix." This movie was ingeniously written by the Wachowski brothers. I find the idea one of a kind, and it was written so perfectly. If you follow and look at every detail of the movie, you will find even more carefully placed details that are make
you even like the movie more. I suggest at least watching this movie a couple times, the first to be amazed how good of a movie you just saw and the second/plus times to catch all the minor details. Also watch it again because it is, in my opinion, the best sci-fi film created in a long time. (Star Wars is still great, but the special fx in this are just plain sweet)I still know there are many people out there that haven't seen this, which is very sad, like one of my good friends Josh. I don't know what sad excuse he has, but when it comes out (September 21, 1999, November 23, 1999 for customers) he is going to come over to my house and is going to watch it and he is going to like it.

Why "The Matrix"

Why is it called the Matrix?? Probably a lot of people have asked this question and many more about this movie. Well, the name is not that much different from our computer operating systems we have now....and since the movie is taking place around 2070 and the Matrix being quite a few years old it would have a similar name as these operating systems. Right now some of the main operating systems are Unix and Linux type systems. So, these name is actually not that far off from "The Matrix." This is my reasoning behind it even though I could be wrong, but I am almost definately sure that this is correct.

Definition of Matrix:
  • A rectangular array of elements set out by rows and columns; An enclosure within which something originates or develops

"I cannot tell you what the Matrix is,"

"You have to see it for yourself."
